About ComeCloser

ComeCloser is built exclusively for virtual reality and covers a wide emotional range, from playful and fun to romantic and passionate. Its characters are handcrafted and eager to spend time with you, with AI-driven facial and body behavior that makes them feel present rather than scripted.

The standout feature is real penis control: slip a VR controller into your pocket, calibrate it, and your actual hip movement drives the action. A modern physics engine animates hair and clothing, and interaction covers the whole body down to the most intimate details. SteamVR is required; it works with every PC VR headset and with Quest over Oculus Link, so a capable gaming PC is a must.

Our ComeCloser review

8.1

out of 10

ComeCloser stands out for its pocketed-controller hip tracking and characters that feel present rather than scripted, making it one of the more intimate PC VR experiences here. It is still in pre-1.0 development and needs a capable gaming PC.

Best for: PC VR players who want body-driven, romantic play

Gameplay: 8.3
Visuals: 8.4
Content: 7.4
Value: 7.8

Pros

Your hips become the controller
Partners feel attentive and present
Romantic as well as playful tone

Cons

SteamVR and a strong PC required
Quest needs Oculus Link
Pre-1.0 build behind Premium

ComeCloser's big idea is simple and effective: put a controller in your pocket, calibrate it, and your actual hips drive the action. It sounds gimmicky, but it changes the feel of the experience completely, replacing menu clicks and stroke gestures with movement that matches what is happening in front of you.

The characters are the other draw. They are handcrafted, with AI-driven facial expressions and body behavior that make them seem attentive, and the developer deliberately covers a range of moods from playful to tender. A physics engine moves hair and clothes, and interaction extends across the whole body. Players have taken to it, with a like for roughly every five plays, one of the better ratios among PC titles in this batch.

It is a SteamVR game for gaming PCs, and Quest owners need Oculus Link. The current Premium build is version 0.20.0, so it is still a work in progress and content is not as broad as in VaM-based packs. Compared with Love Vibe: Aria, the other girlfriend-style PC game here, it is more physical and more modern. Compared with Virt-A-Mate, it is less of a toolkit and more of a curated experience.
