Our The Izumi Experience review

7.2

out of 10

The Izumi Experience is a short, sweet anime date that players like far more than its age and simplicity might suggest. The free demo is very limited, so the full version is the only one worth judging.

Best for: Anime fans who want a brief, low-effort PC VR date

Pros

  • Charming character who warms up to you
  • Dance opening sets a playful mood
  • Strong player approval

Cons

  • Demo is a single timed position
  • Full version needs Premium
  • Small in scope

Izumi is an upbeat cheerleader spending the night with you in a stylish city apartment, and the experience follows her from slightly shy to fully at ease. It opens with a dance and striptease before moving to the bedroom, where you try out her favorite positions. There are no systems to master; you mostly relax and enjoy the evening.

Its appeal is the character and the pacing. It feels like a short date with someone who is glad you showed up, and that warmth seems to land with players: nearly one like for every five plays puts it among the best-received PC games in this batch, despite dating back to 2017, the oldest release here.

The structure is limited, though. The free demo gives you one position with a time cap, while VRPorn Premium unlocks five positions without the limit plus extra content. Even the full version is compact. Compared with Love Vibe: Aria, which covers similar girlfriend territory, Izumi is lighter and more stylized; compared with Nympho Trainer, it has far fewer activities but a more romantic tone.
